``More than a 3D ontology visualization tool''
Prerequisites (PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE PLUGIN EXPLOITS JAVA 3D LIBRARY AND REQUIRES IT TO BE INSTALLED ON THE SISTEM!!)
Here is a simple test in order to assess if java3D environment is correctly working on your system. Download a java class (HelloUniverse.java) and copy it to a directory, then open a command line in that directory and type:
The first step consist in obtaining and installing Protégé, version 3.1.x or above. After downloading the proper Ontosphere3D plugin, users must unzip it in the plugin folder of Protégé root directory, where should result a folder named "it.polito.elite.ontology".
In order to configure a project for the use of the plugin, once a project has been opened, click on the menu item project/configure and select the checkbox of OntoSpherePlugin from the plugin list.
The first step consist in obtaining and installing Eclipse, version 3.3 or above. After downloading the proper Ontosphere3D plugin, users must unzip it in the plugin folder of Eclipse root directory. In order to use of the plugin, once a project has been opened, simply switch to Onrosphere3D perspective.

designed and deveolepd by the e-Lite research group at the Polytechnic
of Turin. Since the main goals of the e-Lite group are related to
research purposes, the tool is given as is, without any formal or
official support service. For any problems concerning the installation
of Ontosphere3D, any undetected bugs, etc. please post a message onto
the users mailing list.
